The author of this inspiring article was the late Larry Barkdull, who did me an amazing favor many years ago. I was a piano teacher, and a sweet elderly lady wanted me to simplify a hymn for her. I did this, and she said, "I think there are many people who would be interested in this!" I prepared about 40 hymns, and took them to 2 or 3 publishers. Larry Barkdull then owned Sonos Music, and decided to publish them. There were 3 of my simplified books published, which are now out of print. He later had to sell his publishing business as he had poor health a few years due to donating a kidney to one of his sons. Since then he has become a well known and loved author.
