1327. Gender Ideology Run Amok June/July 2021 • Volume 50, Number 6/7 • Abigail Shrier, from Imprimis, of Hillsdale University

Image
This is from Imprimis -- the information that Hillsdale University sends out.  It is absolutely true!  I had a dear girl friend, probably 35 to 40 years ago, for whom I was a bridesmaid at her wedding.   She decided to become a transgender -- now male!  She was the mother of 4 girls!  I feel sorry for people who have those problems.  It was so unusual at that time, but apparently it is quite common now!  SO SAD   ! 1058. The Unforgettable Lesson a 16-Year-Old Learned After Spending the Day Weeding with President Ballard - A Choice true story!

Image
This is such a choice story!  I love it!  Read to the bottom to really understand it! The Unforgettable Lesson a 16-Year-Old Learned After Spending the Day Weeding with President Ballard by Elder W. Craig Zwick, excerpted from "More to Your Story"  | Jul. 28, 2018 Makes You Think Just as the sun was coming up on a brisk, spring morning in 1963, I headed to the stake center to meet my priests' quorum adviser. It was Saturday and, oh, how I longed to be almost anywhere but digging weeds at the church. I was pretty much a normal 16-year-old kid, totally into myself and involved with countless activities. The night before, my adviser had called me at home and asked me to participate in a service project. He described it as “a great opportunity to work together to improve the looks of the gardens at the church.” I had made big plans to hang out with my friends, but when he said, “Craig, can I count on you?” I felt as though I ...

"My purpose this evening is not to have you dwell on terrible events from the past," Elder Cook said. Instead, he e...

220. The Sad Truth About Bullying at Church

Image
It makes me sad to acknowledge this happened to one of our children, who is still inactive after 25 years.   We didn't know about it at the time. This came from LDS Living. The Sad Truth About Bullying at Church KELSEY BERTEAUX - 17 HOURS AGO Church is supposed to be a safe place for our children. Bullying is something that only happens at school, right? Unfortunately, there’s a sad truth behind bullying at church. “Do you know where your daughter is?” It’s a heart-stopping question when you don’t know the answer. And the statement that followed it was one that Judy Wells wasn’t prepared for:  “Her school friends are telling us that she is planning on committing suicide. We are sending a unit over to your home right now.” What could have possibly sent such a vibrant and beautiful teenage girl so close to the edge? Wells’s daughter was standing on the roof of her home and contemplating jumping because she was being bullied. By the youth in her ward. “The...
