This is a wonderful article!  You men who hold the Priesthood -- Are you living worthy to give a blessing at a moment's notice?  I have realized since my dear husband Wayne died, that one of the things I miss the most is having a worthy Priesthood holder in my home!  I miss it and will love being in my oldest son's home after April 15th, when I move to Bountiful. Did the Melchizedek Priesthood Restoration take Place This Weekend in History? By Scot Facer Proctor  · May 26, 2016 Introduction We have celebrated the restoration of the Aaronic Priesthood from the time I was a young boy. We actually know more than we think. The Restoration of the Aaronic Priesthood Joseph and Emma’s home in Harmon...

This is a fascinating article about the Seal of Melchizedek, which appears 10,000 times in the San Diego Temple, and in other temples as well. Why This Symbol Appears 10,000 Times in the San Diego Temple ERNEST LEHENBAUER - for LDS living Noted scholar Ernest Lehenbauer explores a common yet little-known symbol found in Latter-day Saint temples. The ancient “Seal of Melchizedek” is often represented as an 8-point star composed of two squares offset 45 degrees and overlaid (or interwoven). It is such a significant symbol that President Hinckley had it added to the Salt Lake City Temple, and since then it has shown up in many more LDS temples. Differing 8-point stars can also be found throughout the Conference Center. But how, you may wonder, is it a symbol of Christ and when did this information come to light in modern times? The answers start with the design of the beautiful San Diego Temple. The Modern Story When The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Sain...

Dedicating your home or apartment.  This is a very important subject!  http://lds.net/blog/faith/belief/house-dedication/ Home Dedication: Set Your Home Apart from the World Jun 7, 2015 Our family has been uprooted often, and we consider ourselves nearly nomadic. We have lived in some lovely homes both in the U.S. and abroad. We’ve also lived in a neighbor’s unfinished basement, in apartments too small for us, and in fixer-uppers tainted by buyer’s remorse. Actually, most of our living quarters have been rented. But that’s OK. ALL earthly dwellings are temporary. Our leaders have counseled us to treat our temporary dwellings as if they are permanent — by settling in, by making them houses of order, by creating beauty and harmony, and by improving our living spaces. One thing we have done wherever we have settled is to dedicate our home. We never feel fully moved in until we do. Here are some guidelines you can follow to dedicate your own living space. S...
