How to be more mindful of the ministry of angels in your life By  Danielle Christensen   August 17, 2023 08:00 AM MDT Email Prin Shepherds learn of the birth of Christ through an angel of the Lord (Luke 2:9). The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints YouTube screenshot We often read stories of angels in the scriptures. We know that Daniel was cast into a den of lions but was protected because “God hath sent his angel and hath shut the lions’ mouths” (see  Daniel 6:22 ). We know that the angel Gabriel visited Mary, telling her to fear not, and that she would bear the Son of God (see  Luke 1:30 ). And when the Savior suffered in Gethsemane, an angel came “unto him from heaven, strengthening him” ( Luke 22:43 ). These angels, and many others in scripture, have fulfilled important roles in helping others during their time of need. In fact, the  Bible Dictionary  explains that angels are “messengers of the Lord” who are “sent forth to minister to th...

This article was so inspiring!  Also, she wrote a previous article which is referenced in the footnotes.  I always read footnotes!  They have often made such an impression on me -- as well as the article they follow!    Seek and Expect Miracles  By  Anne Hinton Pratt  · May 4, 2022 I’m a believer in miracles, and love to hear about the widely varied miracles that we as God’s children are privileged to experience.  My faith is strengthened by President Nelson’s directive to “Seek and Expect Miracles. There are times in our lives that we need more help than our natural world can offer.  At these defining moments, we can ask for angelic help, and at times receive remarkable assistance.  Angels are a critical part of the Lord’s team, which he generously employs for us in amazing ways… “I Felt the Burning of Angels” Jill Vanikiotis shared a truly remarkable experience with me, where she absolutely knew that angels helped her.  She was moving from Utah to Virginia in 2020. She was pulling a much too heavy trailer for her vehicle, which was loaded down with all her food storage and tools. She writes, “I needed a good amount of momentum built up in order to get over the three mountains in Wyoming known as the three sisters. Just as I was up to speed in my ascent over the last and bigge...

I am listening to fire works in a place near us.  But I am home, and thinking about the very inspiring concert we watched, near our Centerville community theater here.  We watched in our cars, but the music and sound system were great!  They sang a lot of very patriotic numbers, and brought a wonderful feeling of patriotism.  I'll write about July 4th tomorrow!  “Family Angels” Dispatched for Our Good By  Anne Hinton Pratt  · July 1, 2020 Cover image: “Us with Them and Them with Us” by  Caitlin Connolly .   See more from Caitlin at @caitlin_connolly_. The bond we share with family on both sides of the veil is eternal, and the love we feel is deep and poignant.  When loved ones die, they are still intimately concerned about our lives and are often allowed to return to help us through difficult times or to share in our joy.  I have asked you to share some of your stories, and I am always amazed at what “f...
