Cancer kept him from a mission, but his family plans to carry on Kyle’s legacy of testifying of Christ By  Emily Abel   January 26, 2022 01:54 PM MST Twitter interest Email Pri When Kirk Dory woke up on Friday, January 7, he turned on a Latter-day Saint music playlist, just as he had the day before. The music was a request from his 22-year-old son, Kyle, who lay in a large, comfortable hospice bed in the family room. 1319. Why do strong emotions overwhelm my peace? from Meridian Magazine

I have learned something new!  I thought that I would automatically enjoy writing about things that happen almost daily, and not include writings from other sources.  I simply have enough interests, and I'm so busy that I don't even remember to write in my journal, and the blog is at the back of my mind. I'm going to include great articles that I read, which are public on the internet, and give the sources, as I used to do.  I hope this helps you readers!   I will be 87 in October, and I find my physical energy is dwindling somewhat with each year.  But I still have my mind, thankfully!  (There are those who may question that!)  But here is an article from Meridian Magazine today, that I found inspirational! By  Geoff Steurer, MS, LMFT  · July 8, 2021 Question My family is going through a difficult trial right now involving potential legal and financial conse...

March 2020 A Prophet, Preparation, and a Pandemic By  Sean Brotherson  · March 22, 2020 Cover image via Church Newsroom. We are living during what might be called the Great Pause. In our globalized world of the 21 st  century, we have never seen anything quite like it. Businesses are still. Transportation is less. People wait in their homes, apartments, and places of work, wondering and struggling and praying. The COVID-19 pandemic has placed our world on the brink of a different era—and we nervously peer ahead and anxiously wonder about the transitions. It is not easy. It is not pleasant. It is not the way we are used to living and being. In the midst of all this, it is easy to feel paralyzed or panicked. I have those feelings. I wonder about the future. About the present. About each day. ...

If You Think You've Messed Up God's Plan for You, Read This by Tommy Johnson   | Oct. 21, 2019 Makes You Think Mormon Life To anyone who thinks they’ve messed up God’s plan for them—you have not. More importantly, you cannot. God is the author of eternity. We have the ability to choose, so we are ultimately the commanders of our fate. But no matter what we do, no matter how much we may feel we've distanced ourselves from God or lived a life we believe He wouldn't be interested in helping, this is not true.  Elder Jeffrey R. Holland taught , "There is nothing . . . that you have done that cannot be undone." If you believe you've ruined God's personal plan for your life, you may feel hopeless or helpless. Your pain is real and strong and valid. However, although it may sound unbelievable now, our Heavenly Parent's love for you is real and stronger than anything we know. To gain a better idea of how divine...
