1249. How to find new meaning in Alma’s teachings on faith as a seed in this week’s ‘Come, Follow Me’ by Danielle Christensen, in LDS Living

Image
This is an especially nice post, in LDS Living, with a few short videos.  When you have time to listen, they really are worth the time! How to find new meaning in Alma’s teachings on faith as a seed in this week’s ‘Come, Follow Me’ by Danielle Christensen  | Jul. 14, 2020 Lesson Helps In this week’s  Come, Follow Me , readers will likely be familiar with  Alma 32:26 : Now, as I said concerning faith—that it was not a perfect knowledge—even so it is with my words. Ye cannot know of their surety at first, unto perfection, any more than faith is a perfect knowledge. According to that definition, to have faith is to be comfortable with ambiguity—in other words, it is not to have a “perfect knowledge” of things. But that doesn’t mean that one has to give up on the hope of knowing gospel truths. Alma simply says one “cannot know of their surety  at first ”—not that one couldn’t know of their surety at some point i...

TODAY is the day to watch these videos, if you have time.  We are today celebrating, according to this  video - and the proof is here! -- a most important day in the history of the entire world,  since Jesus Christ was on the earth. https://www.youtube.com/watch? v=H6MsQ6QBMMY     How Lovely Was the Morning – Documentary [HD]  NEW DOCUMENTARY ON THE FIRST VISION Also, an article on Book of Mormon blog is about what was in the video, but has more interesting things  also, that have been studied by scientists, etc. It can be found at --  https://www.bofm.blog/ march-26-1820-landmark-date- in-history/ This comment below was also in that article above, which is fascinating!    March 26th would become a "favorite" date for Joseph Smith. This article I saved from last Monday is truly inspiring and helpful! A Step-by-Step Guide to Help Make Home-Centered Church Easier During the Coronavirus By  Book of Mormon Central  · March 16, 2020 View the article  on Book of Mormon Central . Because The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has  temporarily suspended all church meetings , we would love to offer a few suggestions on how you can better worship as individuals and families at home. We are grateful to have a prophet of God on the earth today to lead, guide, and prepare disciples of Jesus Christ. In the  October 2018 General Conference , President Nelson prophetically announced “For many years, Church leaders have been working on an integrated curriculum to strengthen families and individuals through a  home-centered  and  Church-supported  plan to learn doctrine, strengthen faith, and foster greater personal worship.” The call for home...

1124. RISEN - New Easter song by Shawna Edwards. with Daniel Blomberg, my friend! on the piano!

Image
Dear friends!  This beautiful new song "Risen", by Shawna Edwards is accompanied by Daniel Blomberg! You can see him in the video.  We knew Daniel when he was 15 years old, in Sweden, when my husband Wayne and I were there on a mission.  He was a fantastic musician at that time also. He grew up, active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, went on a mission, learned several languages, went to BYU, and other universities, receiving a fantastic education.  He has taught in universities, but his real love is helping arrange and perform music.  He lives now in Utah, and he and his wife have five talented children, and he is really making a name for himself! If you ever want his help in arranging music, or making a beautiful video of music you have already composed, he is the right one to contact! I am proud to be his friend!
