After interviewing local members over what to explore with them, I was told that many equated these blessings with the superstitious practice of fortune telling or horoscopes and so didn’t seek a blessing of their own. So why do we counsel all members to seek one from a stake patriarch when fathers and mothers are the spiritual leaders of the sacred and basic unit of the Kingdom?
