 This is how I hope my children, and posterity look to me!  In the last few weeks I have had personal visits with 4 of my 5 daughters, and the son I live with.  I hope I can be this kind of inspiration to some of them at least .   7 Lessons Aging Mothers and Grandmothers Teach Their Families  By  Nicholeen Peck  · May 1, 2022 Mom has a bad knee, but that doesn’t stop us from making multi-generational memories to last a lifetime. Months ago, when I asked Mom to accompany me on a trip to Alaska she said, “Sure, I’ll come if you really want me to go with you. I don’t move very fast anymore because of my knee. Are you okay going slow or waiting for me sometimes?” I assured Mom that her slow pace was not a problem for me, and we planned our once-in-a-lifetime mother-daughter trip to Alaska. What Mom didn’t understand about my invitation for her to travel with me was that I love traveling with her, despite any special accommodation requirements, because her very presence gives me so much. 7
