I first posted this on February 19th, 2014, and I will put an update or two with it.   I'm sorry -- I don't think I put the video in right. I'll have to have someone show me how, and do  it later. WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 19, 2014 101. More fun family photos -- Miscellaneous glimpses of the past! I have many photos of the family over the years.  It is hard to choose which to publish, as they all are so precious and each one brings out many memories.  Everyone in each of our children's families has such a wonderful enduring place in our hearts.  This video was made in November, 2015.  Our nephew, Russell Wright, a bishop, asked Wayne to make a video about indexing, that he could show in his ward in Spanish Fork. When Wayne passed away he had done 685,070 names indexing, and 74,000 arbitrating! Adding a quote on February 22, 2018.  Elder Howard W. Hunter taught, “Throughou...

930. Our son McKay's Birthday is today! "This is your Life"!

Image
I just have to repost this again, on our 5th child McKay's birthday!  We LOVE YOU Mc KAY! Today is our 5th child, and 3rd son McKay Dayton Eckman's birthday!   He was born in the middle of General Conference in 1963, and President David O. Mckay was the prophet, so we named him McKay after the Prophet.  His middle name is the maiden name of his grandmother, Gladys Tregenna Dayton Eckman. This entry tells a lot about his life.  It was first posted 2 years ago today.  He now is a Ward Clerk in his ward in Oceanside, California, and well respected at his work.  He travels to other cities often for his work, and he and Kim are very happy.  He really misses his dad, Wayne, as they would talk together during every ball game they both were watching!  He has been so good to both of us. SATURDAY, OCTOBER 4, 2014 242, Our son, McKay Dayton Eckman, birthday October 4, 1963, during General Conference. THIS IS YOUR LIFE (briefly) ...

Image
It has been 5 days since I have written in this blog, and a lot has happened!  I entered the last blog at 9:07 a.m., on March 27, 2014.  At that time our granddaughter Skye Nicholson was in the MTC, to prepare for her mission to Irvine, California.  Her family, (Parents and 5 sisters--all but her brother Caleb) were visiting at our home from Friday night until yesterday, Monday morning.  That is why I didn't write!     Skye had been on a "trial" mission of 12 weeks, from December 18, 2013, to March 11, 2014, and in the South Salt Lake Mission home we were there when she read her call to go to the California Irvine mission.  Because of her 12 weeks, when she entered the MTC just a week later on March 19th, she was a Senior companion, and a Sister Trainer leader there.  She is thrilled, and just this morning (April Fool's Day) she flew to Irvine.  Her first picture there is: We're not sure the names of these missionaries -- but O...
