Some missionaries are still out in the mission field, and trying to spend          their time usefully -- and are showing their talents! Watch: Quarantined Missionaries Around the World Spread the Gospel Through Social Media Music Videos by Greyson Gurley  | Mar. 30, 2020 In order to connect with others during quarantine, many people are sharing their musical talents with each other through social media—missionaries included! With more time on their hands than usual, some missionaries have found creative ways to spread the gospel virtually, including companion duets, catchy compositions, and multi-language compilations. Even Elder Dieter F. Uchtdorf has posted about those who are sharing the gospel through music. The apostle shared a video of his grandson and his grandson’s companion playing a rendition of the hymn “There is Sunshine in my Soul Today” on guitar and clarinet. Here are a few videos th...

Dear friends!  This beautiful new song "Risen", by Shawna Edwards is accompanied by Daniel Blomberg! You can see him in the video.  We knew Daniel when he was 15 years old, in Sweden, when my husband Wayne and I were there on a mission.  He was a fantastic musician at that time also. He grew up, active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, went on a mission, learned several languages, went to BYU, and other universities, receiving a fantastic education.  He has taught in universities, but his real love is helping arrange and perform music.  He lives now in Utah, and he and his wife have five talented children, and he is really making a name for himself! If you ever want his help in arranging music, or making a beautiful video of music you have already composed, he is the right one to contact! I am proud to be his friend!

This dear lady was a very good friend of mine for many years!  She passed away on Friday, Feb. 10th, 2017.  She was so well known for her beautiful small statues, and also some large statues in the "Monument to Women" garden in Nauvoo, Illinois.   When we moved to Sandy, Utah, in 1962, where we lived for 19 years, she was my first Visiting Teaching Companion.  I grew to love her immediately.  When I taught a class for teenagers about genealogy, and their own Family History, her son Chad filled out a Family Group Sheet showing 5 children.  If you notice in the obituary, they were able to raise only this one choice son, the age of my oldest son.  They had 4 babies die right after birth!  I don't know reasons, only that she once told me the reasons were unrelated.  She and her dear husband continued faithful, gentle, and gracious all their lives! These are such beautiful music numbers!  Enjoy them! Did You Know The Piano Guys' LDS Standards Are Protected by Their Sony Contract? by Danielle B. Wagner  | Jan. 20, 2017 Famous Mormons Mormon Life Years ago, back when The Piano Guys was a piano shop, not an internationally known performing group, the owner of that shop, Paul Anderson, had a great idea to boost his sales: have Jon Schmidt and other famous artists perform on his instruments in incredible places. The endeavor failed dismally in its goal. In two years, not one piano was sold. Yet, in that time, the small group of performers marketing these pianos had 50 videos with over 700 million views, four albums, and four million YouTube subscribers. And so, The Piano Guys was born. Here are some other interesting tidbits about The Piano Guys you might not have known: A Crazy Goal Jon Schmidt, Steven Sharp Nelson, and Al van der Beek all thought Paul Anderson wa...
