How to Harness Your Mind for Greater Power and Faith By  Larry Barkdull  · July 27, 2022 Before he died, Larry Barkdull had written a substantial part of an unfinished manuscript  about the extraordinary power of faith,  particularly as a power that causes things to happen. This is faith on a higher level than we usually practice and understand it. With the permission of his wife, Buffie, Meridian will be running an excerpt from this new book every week. See earlier articles in this series  HERE  and  HERE . The Mind is the Agent of the Almighty As creators, we are responsible for our personal reality. Whether we like it or not, the thoughts we think, the words we say, the feelings we internalize and the actions that we take instantaneously plug into the intelligent force of faith and commence a creative process that will manifest physically, unless God intervenes or unless we counter with new thoughts, words, feelings and actions.   Larry Barkdull, the writer of this article, was a speci al friend of mine, in 1989, and 1990.  He then was the publisher of Sonos Music, which sold Latter Day Saint music, and he published 3 Simplified Music Books that I wrote.  He later became so incapacitated by giving one of his kidneys to a son who needed it, that he sold his company to Music Art West, which became Jackman Music.  My music books weren't published again, but a couple or so years ago Jackman Music was sold, and the new owners found a copy of my Simplified Primary book, among their inventory, and republished it again.  He is such a brilliant writer, and I hope you'll enjoy this he wrote as much as I did.  I'll try to publish new additions to this as they come out.  This is the cover of the current copy.  The first one was blue.   I really enjoyed this article, from Meridian Magazine. Insights from the World Expert on Family and Relationships By  Wallace Goddard  · July 5, 2021 The world’s best expert on families and relationships is God. No one else can match His understanding—no one. So, as sensible humans, where do many of us turn for guidance on families and relationships? Everywhere except God. We draw heavily on the traditions of our fathers. We consult the latest books about relationships. We bumble along as imperfect people, parents, and partners, doing our best but knowing we fall far short. But it doesn’t have to be that way. We can find essential truths for relationships in God’s counsel to us. We can discover hidden treasures of knowledge. Let me give you some examples: Did you know that recent research has revealed the keys to personal well-being and that the same keys are perfectly described in scripture and by modern prophets and apostles? Did you know that the greatest research di...

Watch: Elder Holland’s powerful message of hope might be just what you need in 2020 by Lindsey Williams  | Sep. 03, 2020 From the Church Makes You Think Speaking in April general conference, Elder Jeffrey R. Holland testified that “the future is going to be as miracle-filled and bountifully blessed as the past has been.” A new inspirational video released by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on Thursday morning pieces together segments of Elder Holland’s conference address into a beautiful 3-minute video. “We  can  hope, we  should  hope, even when facing the most insurmountable odds,” Elder Holland said. “So, when our backs are to the wall and, as the hymn says, ‘other helpers fail and comforts flee,’ among our most indispensable virtues will be this precious gift of hope linked inextricably to our faith in God and our charity to others.” In his message, Elder Holland spoke specifically about current events...
