1031. Qumran, the Dead Sea, Bethlehem, and Jerusalem
In 1946 the Dead Sea Scrolls were found, in 11 caves in this area. Here in Qumran, there was a colony of scribes, who copied many copies of the books in the Old Testament. Those were the records now called the Dead Sea Scrolls. Parts of all books of the Bible have been found in them.
