I'm grateful for the 60+ years I had with Wayne D Eckman -- my eternal companion!  He was so cheerful and happy about life, and I believe that is a great part of having gratitude.  This picture was taken over 10 years ago when he was going through things that reminded him of the past.  He rode on the ship "Gripsholm" to and from Sweden in 1950 and 1953, on his first mission.   He loved "Jasper", the oversized puppet we always put out on March 17th, St. Patrick's Day, which is showing in the background. When you are feeling happy and grateful for life, you truly do make the best of the situation you have been given in life!  This article has many great ideas!
