Even if you weren’t in Las Vegas on Sunday night, chances are you’ve wondered what you would have done, wondered if something like this might ever happen to you, and wondered how something like this could even happen. The emotional shock of something this awful can leave us f...

Not minimizing the tragedy in Las Vegas, these beautiful thoughts will lift your day, and help us "see the good in the world", as the motto for BYU-TV. October 3, 2017 Service SCRIPTURE OF THE DAY Doctrine & Covenants 6:33-34 "Fear not to do good, my sons, for whatsoever ye sow, that shall ye also reap; therefore, if ye sow good ye shall also reap good for your reward. Therefore, fear not, little flock; do good; let earth and hell combine against you, for if ye are built upon my rock, they cannot prevail . " QUOTE OF THE DAY Heber J. Grant "One can never tell what will be the result of faithful service rendered, nor do we know when it will come back to us or to those with whom we are associated. This is a heart touching story, and seems appropriate after the tragedy that happened in Las Vegas last night , were one man from a room in a high rise hotel shot and killed 59 people, and injured around 500 more.  There are many stories going around about it, and the truth hasn't come out yet, about many aspects of the story.  My heart felt love and empathy go out to all affected by it. When I Heard My Deceased Daughter's Voice: The Profound Lesson She Shared by Bryan Young  | Sep. 02, 2017 Makes You Think Mormon Life The Lord has offered my family and me many tender mercies of spiritual communication that not all people will receive. However, I also know that the spirits of our loved ones are closer than we often times know, no matter who we are. In May of 2012, my daughter Holland was diagnosed with a brain tumor, shortly after her third birthday. The 14 months that followed were a roller coaster of hospital stays, brain surgeri...

Hales has taught, “The greatest blessings of general conference come to us after the conference is over. Remember the pattern recorded frequently in scripture: we gather to hear the words of the Lord, and we return to our homes to live them.” [1]   This counsel is especially important in regard to the teachings of the living prophet, who is the president of the church. In his Saturday morning address of the April 2017 session of general conference, President T...
