1008. Two years ago today my eternal companion, Wayne D Eckman, passed away.

This post honors my dear husband Wayne D Eckman, and also his twin brother Blaine D Eckman.  Blaine passed away on March 19, 1999, but Wayne passed away just 2 years ago today, February 21, 2016.  They are now together, and probably doing missionary work speaking Swedish! I posted this 2 years ago today -- It was entry # 600. To those who don't know, my husband, Wayne D Eckman, passed from this life into the Spirit World, and eternity, early this Sunday morning about 3:45 a.m.     He had missed his identical twin brother so much, and said that Blaine was in his dreams almost every night!  They are now reunited, with their parents, and some siblings! This post is rather long, as it includes reposting some entries I posted before.   Wayne, left, and Blaine, right, after retirement, both living in St. George. Blaine left, and Wayne, right, on their missions in Sweden.  He had been failing quite a bit since he...

I wrote this last night -- Sunday night, so I will leave it as I wrote it ---- Today has been a rather "sentimental" day!  Today I spent part of the day at home going through all the cards, etc., that I received after my husband Wayne passed away almost 2 years ago.   Wayne loved baseball!  And he found this little sign at a yardsale, and got it!  This picture of him was taken when we went on a cruise with people from my high school class, around 2005. Just 2 years ago today (written Sunday the 18th) we made the decision to start on Hospice.  It was a Thursday, and they came on Friday with a wheelchair and a walker.  Up until then he hadn't used them.  He was on dialysis, and a feeding tube, and quite weak.  But he still managed to dress himself most of the time, and get around in our house, without complaining.   Two years ago tonight, (a Thursday Feb. 18th) our daughters Delsy and Anita and I played games with Wayn...

I noticed today that someone had made a  comment on this entry of my paintings, on a blog I posted on January 29th, 2014.   I  decided to repost it, with some more recent  paintings I have done since then.  I will put the more recent paintings in the beginning of this. If any of you want to try art, I encourage you to join a class, and get some training.  Then enjoy spending some peaceful hours doing art! There is a very talented professional watercolorist in our ward Sherry Meidell.  You can "google" her and see what great talent she has!   I have taken a water color class this last year from her.  The little dog above, "Juni", was my daughter's dog, and died recently.  I painted this water color painting for them.  The rest of the paintings below are oil paintings. I painted the above painting for my grandson Jacob (Jake) who was on a mission in ...
