809. Memories from when it was 6 months after Wayne passed away -- my dear eternal companion!

I wrote this on August 21, 2016, exactly 6 months from Wayne passed away.  Now 2 weeks from today, it will be a year.  Time is passing so fast!  Below this part is a scripture and quote, which was on Latter Day Light today.

It has been 6 months today since my dear husband Wayne D Eckman passed from this life into eternity.  I miss him so much!  But I'm sure he and his twin brother Blaine are very busy up there, having fun, and doing missionary work!

The picture above was the spring of 1956, after we were married, at Dixie College.  Wayne is 2nd from the right on the bottom row, when he was on the Dixie College Baseball team, the first year we were married.

The photo below was also about that time, when he was in college.

I've written many articles about him, which you can find under the "labels" under his name, Eckman Wayne D.  There are several articles about him and his twin brother Blaine.

This was taken 10 years before he passed away, when he was 75, and I was 71, about our Golden Wedding time.

SCRIPTURE OF THE DAY
Ephesians 4:11-15

"And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; for the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ: that we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; but speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ."

QUOTE OF THE DAY
David O. McKay

"The Church, with its complete organization, offers service and inspiration to all. ... Instead of taking men out of the world, it seeks to develop perfect, Godlike men in the midst of society, and through them to solve the problems of society" (Teachings of Presidents of the Church: David O. McKay, p. 27).
