will put an update or two with it.

101. More fun family photos -- Miscellaneous glimpses of the past!

I have many photos of the family over the years.  It is hard to choose which to publish, as they all are so precious and each one brings out many memories.  Everyone in each of our children's families has such a wonderful enduring place in our hearts. 


This video was made in November, 2015.  Our nephew, Russell Wright, a bishop, asked Wayne to make a video about indexing, that he could show in his ward in Spanish Fork.
When Wayne passed away he had done 685,070 names indexing, and 74,000 arbitrating!

 Elder Howard W. Hunter taught, “Throughout your life, you will be faced with many choices.  How well you select among the alternatives will determine your success and happiness in life.  Some of the decisions you will make will be absolutely critical and can effect the entire course of your life.  Please measure those alternatives against the teachings of Jesus Christ.  To be able to do that you must know and understand his teachings.  As you exercise faith and live worthy of inspiration, you will be directed in the important choices you make.  The very wise know and obey the will of our Father in Heaven” (The Teachings of Howard W. My older half sister, Delsy, and me (Pal) when I was about 1 year old, about 1935.

    My dear mother, Ruth, (with Pal) in Porter's Care Center, when Anita brought her 4 boys to visit their great-grandmother.  Ruth is holding David, (now 16) and Sam (now a returned missionary) standing close, then Anita on the right, holding Ben, (on a mission to Taiwan) and Jake, soon to put in his mission papers.
Our son Allen, our only son (or grandson) to serve in the military.  He achieved the rank of Captain in the United States Air Force.  He was a navigator on a K35, (I think) which is a refueling plane.  He served 6 years in the Air Force, and was in Desert Storm.
     These are Delsy's and Gordon's children -- Andy, left and Amanda, now married, right, about 2000.

Jeremy, our youngest, with his daughter Jessica, the day she was baptized.  About 2001.

  McKay met his wife, Kim, from Taiwan, at BYU Hawaii.  They both were working at the Polynesian Culture Center, as students, in the late 1980's.  This was when they attended a dance there.

211. The Palmyra Temple -- The rest of the story -- (History)

Subject: Palmyra Temple--Rest of the Story T We rarely know all the details of a completed temple.   Much goes on in the months and years prior to its completion.   The Palmyra, NY temple is no exception and the story is one of great vision, insight and the Lord's intervention . The story starts years before, perhaps years before anyone thought to build a temple here.    In 1907 Apostle George Albert Smith purchased a portion of the original Smith farm for $16,000.   In 1915 he sold it to the Church for $1.00 and President Joseph F. Smith called Bro Willard Bean and wife Rebecca on a 5 year mission to manage the farm and be the first stationary missionaries in the area since the Saints removed to Ohio in 1830.  They served here for 25 years! making numerous improvements to the farm,  softening the attitudes of the local residents, helping the Church to acquire more of the farm, and even the hill we now call the Hill Cumorah.  The Hill Cumorah pageant had its beginnin

471. LDS Church's #IAmAPioneer Campaign Recognizes Past and Present Pioneers. You can contribute your story!

How appropriate this is for July 24th, in just 3 days!  This is for all you readers who have pioneer ancestors , or you are a pioneer in your own family, or country.  You can send in your own story! Today I begin a training period so I can go back to our local Family History Center, and be a volunteer to help others.  From about 1992 to 2011, I volunteered, and 2 times served a 1 year mission there.  But since then, there are so many new things in technology that I need to catch up!   I took a class recently on how to upload photos and other memories on to Family Search, in Family Tree, and I have had so much fun doing that!  Both Wayne and I have had health problems over the last year or two, but we are at a time things are going better, and I want to get back to one of the things I love most -- FAMILY HISTORY, AND GENEALOGY! ! !
