1013. "ECKMAN FAMILY LIMERICKS"! Fun family memories shared in limericks by big brother Wayne!

HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY -- MARCH 17TH!

During the month of March, in the 11th grade, our son Wayne's English teacher had the students write a limerick each day.  He often writes them, and has written a limerick for each family member!  I will include photos of each family member as young adults in our Life Story book:

Dad Wayne, and his favorite leprechaun, Jasper!  (Picture taken about 2004 while he was writing his life story.)

 (Family members will recognize some fun family stories referred to!)

Dad: Wayne D Eckman

When getting together for game nights,
Dad would scheme to improve his sad Rook plights.
Though his output was measly,
He would gloat rather freely,
‘Cause he had the red “10” in his sights.

Anita made our personalized "score" book, with the red 10 on the back!
Years ago, "Dad" Wayne thought he had the "Rook" card, but it was backwards in his hand!  It was the red 10, and the family didn't let him forget it!

 Mom, Pal (Paralee Miles Eckman)

There is a fine lady named Pal,
Who is quite a remarkable gal.
There is no one she’s met,
That she plans to forget,
So, remember you’re part of ya’all.

Wayne Miles Eckman

There is a big brother named Wayne,
Who’s gradually going insane.
He’s somewhat unruly,
 But there’s hope, ‘cause of Julie.
 Don’t give up, it will not be in vain.

Delsy Eckman Nielson

When Delsy gets bees in her bonnet,
She composes an excellent sonnet.
 She’s good at debate;
 Students think she is great;
 When they need her help, she says, “I’m on it.”

Anita Eckman Lunnen

With nostalgia, Anita is queen;
 With computers, her knowledge is keen.
When she met up with Reed,
 He shored up her need;
 She is happy and calmly serene.

Allen Roy Eckman

 When Allen bathed three times a week,
 He decided young ladies he’d seek.
With snakes by the dozens,
 He often scared cousins;
You could say he was rather unique.

 McKay Dayton Eckman

 There is a young man named McKay,
Who’s a sports-nut, I think you would say,
He gets up for March Madness,
When it ends, there’s a sadness,
 But the sun will come up the next day.

Angela Eckman Bulloch

 Angie’s a marvelous writer,
There’s no project or task that can “fright” her.
The juvenile mind,
 Is a marvelous find,
 When she gives it a spark and igniter.

Tacy Eckman DeSantis

There is a great lady named Tacy,
Who sometimes can seem a bit “spacy.”
 She excels in her nursing,
And has never liked cursing;
 She’s turned out to be quite amazing.

Pamela Eckman Nicholson

 There is a young lady named Pam,
Who grew up on oatmeal and spam.
When Robert came calling,
And their children were sprawling,
Bought a radio they simply called “ham.”

Jeremy Miles Eckman

Jeremy plays the piano with vigor;
 He worked hard to perfect it with rigor.
 When he married Danielle,
 She let out a big yell,
Saying, “Finally my man pulled the trigger.”

ISN'T LIFE FUN!

               Also, there have been 2 family weddings on March 17th!

The first was our grandson Joshua Eckman and his new wife, Tiffany Christensen, on March 17, 2007.

And then on March 17, 2017 just 10 years later, our son Jeremy, and his wife Danielle Bennett.
