SCRIPTURE OF THE DAY
Moses 7:18-19
"And the Lord called his people Zion, because they were of one heart and one mind, and dwelt in righteousness; and there was no poor among them. And Enoch continued his preaching in righteousness unto the people of God. And it came to pass in his days, that he built a city that was called the City of Holiness, even Zion."

Brigham Young
QUOTE OF THE DAY
Brigham Young

"I have looked upon the community of Latter-day Saints in vision and beheld them organized as one great family of heaven, each person performing his several duties in his line of industry, working for the good of the whole more than for individual aggrandizement; and in this I have beheld the most beautiful order that the mind of man can contemplate, and the grandest results for the upbuilding of the Kingdom of God and the spread of righteousness upon the earth" (Teachings of Presidents of the Church: Brigham Young, p.158).

Gift of Exaltation

SCRIPTURE OF THE DAY
Doctrine & Covenants 76:5-6

QUOTE OF THE DAY
Russell M. Nelson

"God is the same yesterday, today, and forever, but we are not. Each day, ours is the challenge to access the power of the Atonement so that we can truly change, become more Christlike, and qualify for the gift of exaltation and live eternally with God, Jesus Christ, and our families" ("Thanks Be to God," Ensign, May 2012).

SCRIPTURE OF THE DAY

Psalms 24:3-6
"Who shall ascend into the hill of the Lord? or who shall stand in his holy place? He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.  He shall receive the blessing from the Lord, and righteousness from the God of his salvation.  This is the generation of them that seek him, that seek thy face, O Jacob. Selah."

Gordon B. Hinckley
QUOTE OF THE DAY
Gordon B. Hinckley

"God bless you, my dear friends. Be faithful. Be true. Be loyal to the great cause of which you are a part. Never become a weak link in the chain of your family's generations. Do whatever you are asked to do, and do it with a glad heart. Do not worry about office or position in the Church. Simply do whatever your calling requires, and do it with joy and gladness" (Keep the Chain Unbroken, BYU Devotional, November 30, 1999).

I haven't written for over 2 weeks.  I have been in St. George and in the hospital with my dear sister Vina Ruth.  She had 3 Priesthood blessings which all said she would recover.  But one incision developed infection, and a week and 2 days after her first operation, she had to have another.  She was in the ICU for 2 days, and given very strong antibiotics.

I am so happy to say that she is gradually recovering!  It may take up to 4 months for her to receive her strength because of all she has been through.  She is 82 years old, and it truly is a miracle she has survived!
