1095. Beautiful Thoughts, and HOW TO FIND AND PRINT YOUR OWN NAMES FOR THE TEMPLE!

I just learned something!  Perhaps you may already know, but it is exciting!

Go to www.familysearch.org, and after you sign in, and the heading across the top says:
Family tree, search, memories, Indexing, and Temple --

Click on "Temple".  You may have some reserved, but look in the list going down:  All Reserved, Printed, Not printed, Shared, and then Ordinances Ready!

Click on the Ordinances Ready tab!  It will bring up the categories that you can check to see if a name is available -- Baptism and Confirmation, Initiatory, Endowment, Sealing to Parents, and Sealing to Spouse.

You can click on whatever ordinance you would like to do -- and print it out, and take it to the Temple!  If you don't have a name of your own, it searches any available, and either brings them up, or offers some names which have been submitted to the Temple by others, which you can print and do!

EXCITING!  The work is done for you!

SCRIPTURE OF THE DAY
3 Nephi 27:5-6
"Have they not read the scriptures, which say ye must take upon you the name of Christ, which is my name? For by this name shall ye be called at the last day; and whoso taketh upon him my name, and endureth to the end, the same shall be saved at the last day."

QUOTE OF THE DAY
Russell M. Nelson

"Brothers and sisters, I plead with you to rise above the tasks of the day and the hurdles ahead. You can do more than the deeds scheduled in your daily planners. You can take the name of the Lord upon you and become more like Him. You can rise to your great potential. You can prepare for the future with greater spiritual capacity.

"Remember that the fulness of Christ's ministry lies in the future. The prophecies of His Second Coming have yet to be fulfilled. At Christmas, of course, we focus upon His birth. But, He will come again" ("Christ the Savior Is Born," BYU Devotional, December 10, 2002).

Jesus Christ, Son of the Living God

SCRIPTURE OF THE DAY

Helaman 14:12-13
"And also that ye might know of the coming of Jesus Christ, the Son of God, the Father of heaven and of earth, the Creator of all things from the beginning; and that ye might know of the signs of his coming, to the intent that ye might believe on his name.  And if ye believe on his name ye will repent of all your sins, that thereby ye may have a remission of them through his merits."

QUOTE OF THE DAY
Gordon B. Hinckley

"There would be no Christmas if there had not been Easter. The babe Jesus of Bethlehem would be but another baby without the redeeming Christ of Gethsemane and Calvary, and the triumphant fact of the Resurrection.

"I believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Eternal, Living God. None so great has ever walked the earth. None other has made a comparable sacrifice or granted a comparable blessing. He is the Savior and the Redeemer of the world. I believe in Him. I declare His divinity without equivocation or compromise. I love Him. I speak His name in reverence and wonder" (Teachings of Presidents of the Church: Gordon B. Hinckley, p. 330).

Birth of Jesus

SCRIPTURE OF THE DAY

3 Nephi 1:13
"Lift up your head and be of good cheer; for behold, the time is at hand, and on this night shall the sign be given, and on the morrow come I into the world, to show unto the world that I will fulfil all that which I have caused to be spoken by the mouth of my holy prophets."

QUOTE OF THE DAY
Heber J. Grant

"For nineteen centuries Christ's birth has been celebrated by nations that call themselves Christian. Annually the pealing of bells, the harmony of music, and the declaration of voices have united in heralding anew the angelic message "on earth peace, good will toward men." (Teachings of Presidents of the Church: Heber J. Grant, p. 222).
