For six months, members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints prepared for a "memorable and unforgettable" conference celebrating the bicentennial anniversary of the First Vision. Here is a look back at some of our favorite photos and screenshots from the April 2020 general conference.

Elder Benjamin M. Z. Tai shared a story in his conference talk of Brother Saw Polo, a man who came to learn the Book of Mormon was true by studying the illustrated Book of Mormon Stories since the Book of Mormon was not yet available in his native Burmese.
President Jean B. Bingham and President Nelson speak in the reconstructed home of Joseph and Emma Smith in Harmony, Pennsylvania about the role of women in the Restoration. 
Elder Neil L. Andersen shared a story from his first mission to France 48 years ago, when he met Sister Alice Audubert while tracting and left a Book of Mormon with her. 
A crane lowers the Christus statue at the Paris France Temple. Bishop Gérald Caussé spoke about how a man who had opposed the building of the temple had a change of heart when he saw the crane lower the statue of the Savior.

The Saturday evening session featured two youth speakers, including Laudy R. Kaouk of Provo, Utah.

Enzo F. Petelo shared how he spiritually prepared himself to baptize his little sister in his Saturday evening remarks. His other sisters acted as witnesses. 
Elder Ronald A. Rasband speaks with President Bonnie H. Cordon and Elder Peter M. Johnson. 
Elder Neil L. Andersen shared this picture of Floripes Luzia Damasio when she was 114 years old. She was baptized at 103 and received her endowment at 104. 
President Russell M. Nelson smiles before the Sunday morning session. During this session, President Nelson introduced a new proclamation, "The Restoration of the Fulness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ: A Bicentennial Proclamation to the World."
Elder Ronald A. Rasband recalled seeing this image on the news worldwide every night during the 2002 Olympics in his remarks.

Elder David A. Bednar shared interesting statistics about the growth of temples during President Nelson's lifetime.

Elder Gary. E Stevenson shared several images of the construction of the Salt Lake Temple during his remarks. 
Elder Gary E. Stevenson shared this quote from President Brigham Young: “I want to see [the] temple built in a manner that it will endure through the millennium. This is not the only temple we shall build; there will be hundreds of them built and dedicated to the Lord.”

The location of conference was a nearly-empty auditorium in the Church Office Building due to COVID-19. 
In his remarks, Elder Ronald A. Rasband shared his experience meeting with leaders of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) with President Nelson. 
President Dallin H. Oaks leads the sustaining of Church Officers.

Elder Benjamin M. Z. Tai shared the story of Brother Huang Juncong and how the gospel changed his life. 
President Joy D. Jones and President Russell M. Nelson visit with Primary children in the Smith family home in Palmyra, New York. 
Elder Neil L. Andersen talked about spiritually defining memories during his Saturday morning remarks. 
President Russell M. Nelson leads the Hosanna Shout on Sunday morning.

President Russell M. Nelson announced a new symbol for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints during the Saturday evening session.

Subject: Palmyra Temple--Rest of the Story T We rarely know all the details of a completed temple.   Much goes on in the months and years prior to its completion.   The Palmyra, NY temple is no exception and the story is one of great vision, insight and the Lord's intervention . The story starts years before, perhaps years before anyone thought to build a temple here.    In 1907 Apostle George Albert Smith purchased a portion of the original Smith farm for $16,000.   In 1915 he sold it to the Church for $1.00 and President Joseph F. Smith called Bro Willard Bean and wife Rebecca on a 5 year mission to manage the farm and be the first stationary missionaries in the area since the Saints removed to Ohio in 1830.  They served here for 25 years! making numerous improvements to the farm,  softening the attitudes of the local residents, helping the Church to acquire more of the farm, and even the hill we now call the Hill C...

712. What Pioneers Wrote of their Impressions of the Prophet Joseph Smith. And I've named 19 of our direct ancestors who knew him!

This is an inspiring article!  Between my husband Wayne and I, we had 19 direct ancestors who knew the Prophet Joseph Smith.   Their names are: Hyrum Dayton, Permelia Bundy, Hyrum Miles Dayton,  Samuel Miles Sr., Prudence Marks, Thomas Colborn, Sarah Bower, Samuel Miles Jr., Hannah Marinda Colborn, Haden Wells Church, Sarah Ann Arterbury, Gideon Allen, Rachel Hand, John Lowe Butler, Caroline Farozine Skeen, Philo Allen, Deliverance Wilson, Lovina Fairchild, George Deliverance Wilson, and Sarah Adeline Butler.  The last, Sarah Adeline was just a small child, but met him.  The rest of those named were adults, very honorable and faithful.  Many other ancestors who joined the Church in the 1840's and 1850's didn't make it to Nauvoo to meet the Prophet, but also sacrificed to come to join the Saints! One, John Lowe Butler, was a bodyguard to the Prophet, and he rode with the group to Carthage, and then had to return home.  They all loved him, an...
