2054-- About where I am living now, and some family history.

This is a copy of a painting I made about 2007 for a granddaughter's wedding.

It is now July 29. 2025.  I have several family birthdays this month, July!

We had one on the 1, 2, 4, 7, 8, 10, 15, then 28, 29, and will have one on the 30, 31, and again on August 2.  I have a list on a paper, but I have to add new birthdays everytime I get a new great grandbaby.

I have 9 children, all living with a spouse, 28 grandchildren, and 33 great grandchildren!  I couldn't tell you the details, except 5 girls and 4 boys are my original children, the oldest being 69, and the youngest is 50 years old.  My oldest son Wayne, came home from going to BYU to see his new baby brother.  I have one sister, Mavis, who is now 85, and one sister who would have been 89, who passsed away, and I will be 91 years old on October 6th.

Since I am now living at Fairfield Assisted Living, in Layton, Utah, I have had poor health at times.  The CNA's are usually very kind, even though sometimes I have had to wait a few minutes to have some kind of help.  I try to thank them every time for any help, and to show them my appreciation.  I have seen many who have tatoos on their arms,  or piercings on their faces, but they usually have a lot of compassion, and do this type of work because they want to be able to help people!

I have had a few problems, such as nausea (have had an endoscopy), and a broken ankle, which I had a fall, and fell on my right foot and it twisted under me when I fell.  They can bring in an X ray machine
if you need an X ray right in your room.  I have a Pysician's Assis-tant who comes to my room, and a nurse available to talk to, during the days, except on Saturday and Sunday.  During those days, you have med techs (medical technicians) who will call a doctor, or help if you need it.  My oldest son handles my accounts financial, and if I have a fall or any trauma, they always call and make him aware of it.  I had a skin cancer above my top lip soon after I came here, and my daughter took me.
We have many activities here, many of which I don't attend.  But we also have guests, usually different types of music, who give great concerts.  The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day-Saints has a thriving branch here.  We have Sunday meetings, with 45 minute Sacrament meetings, and Relief Society and Quorum meeings .  On Monday nights we have usually entertaining Family Home Evening, and an adult religion class (called ARC) on Tuesday mornings, and 4 teachers each teach once a month.  We are studying the teachings of Brigham Young at this time.  It is really inspiring and gives us new thoughts and insights!
I'll add a picture of a painting I made years ago, when I don't have a family picture to post.  I'll see how I can do this, if I remember!
