Unfortunately, I am Exhibit B. “Four decades ago I decided I needed to be in the temple at least once a week.” She said. “I haven’t been a slacker about temple worship and temple service. The pressures and the disappointments in my life would have crushed me long ago without the temple, a place of knowledge and revelation and peace. 592. Some beautiful scriptures and quotes of Prophets. Great for a Sunday reading.

Here are a few spiritual thoughts for this beautiful Sabbath Day.  Today is our Ward Conference, and I'm sure we will hear some wonderful messages!  I will take notes and report on it later.  Happy Sabbath Day To You All! The first quote is from Pres. Joseph Fielding Smith.  I remember him, and his wife Jessie Evans Smith, who had a beautiful contralto voice.  He wrote the words to the hymn "Does the journey seem long?"  I'll quote the first verse here, # 127 in the hymn book. Does the journey seem long, The path rugged and steep? Are there briars and thorns on the way:  Do sharp stones cut your feet As you struggle to rise To the heights thru the heat of the day? He knew many problems in his lifetime, with 2 different wives passing away and leaving him with many children. "Love One Another", a 14 day challenge.  We are already in the 4th day, so hopefully we will also try to do the first 4 challenges and continue on until Valentine's Day. Love One Another—14-Day Challenge By The LDS Newsroom  · February 2, 2016 Love is in the air. Well, maybe not for you. But it could be. With the appearance of heart-shaped boxes of chocolates, cupid candies, valentine cards, and lovey-dovey stuffed animals on store shelves across America, it’s clear that in the United States, there is a definite commercialization of love during the month of February. But love isn’t confined to a month. Love is not dependent on relationship status. In fact, it’s not about one day. It’s about every day. In the words of our loving prophet, President Thomas S. Monson, “ Love is the very essence of the gospel , and Jesus Christ is our Exemplar.” If we want to be better followers of Him, we need to be more. We need to LOVE more. To focus o...
