1010. "WHEN GOOD MEN DO NOTHING!!" -- We must stand up for those who need support!

Image
As the great parliamentarian Edmund Burke said, “The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.” In  1968  the quotation appeared in the 14th edition of the seminal reference work Bartlett's Familiar Quotations . If you can't read this -- it says "  The world is a dangerous place, not because of those who do evil, but because of those who look on and do nothing", by Albert Einstein And:  in Proverbs 29:2 --  When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn. I guess I am a crusader!  I found a side of me in the last 2 days that has really become appalled, and disappointed and wants to speak out!  I plan to go to St. George, my home town, tomorrow and help crusade, protest, or whatever it takes, to help 2 tenured professors who were terminated 2 days ago at Dixie State University!  You can read many comments, on one post about the ...

1009. Lots of family pictures, and a video made in November, 2015, about 3 months before Wayne passed away.

I first posted this on February 19th, 2014, and I will put an update or two with it.   I'm sorry -- I don't think I put the video in right. I'll have to have someone show me how, and do  it later. WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 19, 2014 101. More fun family photos -- Miscellaneous glimpses of the past! I have many photos of the family over the years.  It is hard to choose which to publish, as they all are so precious and each one brings out many memories.  Everyone in each of our children's families has such a wonderful enduring place in our hearts.  This video was made in November, 2015.  Our nephew, Russell Wright, a bishop, asked Wayne to make a video about indexing, that he could show in his ward in Spanish Fork. When Wayne passed away he had done 685,070 names indexing, and 74,000 arbitrating! Adding a quote on February 22, 2018.  Elder Howard W. Hunter taught, “Throughou...

1008. Two years ago today my eternal companion, Wayne D Eckman, passed away.

Image
This post honors my dear husband Wayne D Eckman, and also his twin brother Blaine D Eckman.  Blaine passed away on March 19, 1999, but Wayne passed away just 2 years ago today, February 21, 2016.  They are now together, and probably doing missionary work speaking Swedish! I posted this 2 years ago today -- It was entry # 600. To those who don't know, my husband, Wayne D Eckman, passed from this life into the Spirit World, and eternity, early this Sunday morning about 3:45 a.m.     He had missed his identical twin brother so much, and said that Blaine was in his dreams almost every night!  They are now reunited, with their parents, and some siblings! This post is rather long, as it includes reposting some entries I posted before.   Wayne, left, and Blaine, right, after retirement, both living in St. George. Blaine left, and Wayne, right, on their missions in Sweden.  He had been failing quite a bit since he...
